Farmers Market Tuesday June 29 / Grangers Celebrate Arrival of Summer

Grays River Grange welcomed Clayton Easley, grandson of Grange member and State CWA Donna Moody, to its membership.  

Clayton Moody and Megan Agee participated in the Exemplification of the Second Degree which symbolizes summer on the farm.  After the exemplification, Clayton took the Grange 4th degree obligation from Grange Master Krist Novoselic and became Grays River Grange’s newest and youngest member.  

Clayton was selected by the Boy Scouts to attend the 100th Boy Scout Jamboree this summer in Washington DC.  Clayton will do a presentation on his trip to Grangers when he returns.

Long Beach Grange Tri-Tip Dinner Benefit

On Saturday June 19 from 6 to 8pm, Long Beach Grangers will have a tri-tip dinner to benefit a local's trip to Camp Hope.

June 22nd Second Degree / Dairy Month Dinner

 
 June is Washington State Dairy Month.  In honor of Dairy Month, Grays River Grange has invited the Lewis-Pacific County State dairy Ambassador, Andrea Smaciarz, and 2009 Wahkiakum County Fair Queen, Keely McGuire, to give a presentation following the dinner.  

The evening will begin with dinner at 6:00 p.m. featuring BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs. 

At 7:30 p.m. we will start the Exemplification of the Second Degree.  The Second Degree symbolizes summer on the farm.

Wahkiakum Pomona Grange

 There's renewed interest in Wahkiakum Pomona Grange #24. The Pomona Grange is the 5th degree of the order and is an opportunity for local Granges to work together. Our Pomona #24 contains Grays River, Skamokawa, Long Beach and, when it becomes active again, Elochoman. 

Members among these Granges want to start having Pomona meetings. The current Pomona master is Esther Gregg. If you're interested in Pomona, please send an e-mail.
