We hope everyone has dried out after all of the high water.
Our Grange Hall weathered the flood very well. Water did not get much higher than shown in the images from previous news post. The heater return duct below the building is intact even though it was completely submerged. The heater has been running fine and the hall feels dry and warm.
The floors will get a good mopping and the hall tidied up around 1:00pm on Tuesday.
The turkey will be started in the oven at the same time. The Locavore dinner is turkey obtained through collecting Okie's Sentry "Turkey Bucks". There will be Deep River potatoes, stuffing and gravy. Other side dishes, salads and desserts are pot-luck. E-mail grange@wwest.net to let us know you're coming.
There's much mud / silt in the parking area so bring footwear with this in mind.
7:30 will be installation of officers. Following will be a short business meeting. Members will consider a resolution regarding the Naselle Youth Camp. We'll discuss getting a restroom improvement project started. We also need to discuss expanding this website to a Type Pad paid version.
We're interested in community perspectives regarding dredging the Grays River. Please share your comments here.
